RE: CMP..Good or bad?
LuftwaffeOberst
You can check all my Post, I usually just post on my own experience with models and keep my comments (good / bad) to Models I have experience with, flown or built. I have noticed that you for some reason hate ALL CMP models and always trash them all. Have you built them all or any? Which have you built? You stated 2! Which 2? Did you finsh them? Could you please list the ones you have built and flown.
Myself I own the 72" ZERO, 73" P-40 Warhawk, & Gee Bee. CMP or knock off version. Check my profile or my web site and you will see video or picks of my flying & building. I myself think these Models I have described are a great buy for the money.
I noticed in your profile that you have 2 yrs building experience. There are no photos or models listed. Is this just building & flying High wing trainer type planes< ie trainers /cubs ect? I could not find anywhere in your profile other planes you have flown or built. Now forgive me because I just search a few threads we have been on together not the whole of RCUNIVERSE. Please this is not an attack on you just trying to gather information on your experience with these models so if myself and others are to follow your instruction we know where your info is coming from.
I myself have no afiliation with CMP / KMP / or other knock off versions I just like the ease and time these models I have built have saved me.
Now I must admit I do change hardware and advice from some other Club members and others who have built these models for advice on making it the best model I can and of course use some of my own ideas. I myself have yet to own a bad model from these guys. Maybe I'm just lucky or go a little farther and create a great model.
Now I am sure there are bad ones produced and if you search RCUNIVERSE you will find all models with this same outcome. Goldburg ( early days complaint they were built way too light & would not hold up to stress in the 3D models) & Hanger 9 ( Mustang & Corsair ) you could find page after Page on them and landing gear problems and rebuilds. Greatplanes I don't even want to go there with models with problems too many to list. All of above SEARCH PROBLEMS and you can find them.
There is no doubt in my mind that you have purchased a cmp or knockoff version and had a problem. Was it the kits problem or your inexperience only you truly know this. My only concern is that you are bashing all CMP in every forum you can find something listed on them. If I only listened to you stating how they are all soooo bad I would not have owned any and had the fun building and flying these models and would have been cheated by your comments.
Anyone who visits this forum and would like advice from me on MODELS I HAVE BUILT please feel free to PM me or comment here and will answer you...
