Default CG and Control surface throws, Lanier Edge 540

OK guys, I finally have my Lanier Edge 540 about ready to fly (the smaller 1.20?? size). I have read that several people have had problems with the plane coming out tail heavy, but if I believe the CG printed in the instructions (4 to 4 3/4" back from wing LE at Fuselage) then by my tests last night, I should be OK. I guess that big ST 3250, doubled firewall, 1650 mAh 6 volt pack, and throttle servo up in the nose must have helped get things balanced! Anyway, I'd like to hear from those of you who have flown your own about how close the recommended Cg range is to being optimum. Also, were the recommended throws printed in the directions OK, or did you end up with something different?

If you can think of anything else that you want to pass along about your test flight, I would appreciate it! By the way, All hardware is 4-40 (even used the heavy duty dubro pull-pull cable for rudder), and I have a total of 180 in/oz of servo torque on Elevators, roughly 300 in/oz on ailerons, and over 100 in/oz on rudder. Hopefully, along with the heavy duty hardware I used, the beast will stay together! My finished weight is a little over 11.5 pounds, is that about what eveyone else came up with?

Thanks,
Lee
