The tool works. Some folks have a problem using it untill they get it figured out. I like it, but I am not going to NOT replace a set of shoes/springs if I don't have it with me but have a small screw driver. I think I can replace the shoes faster with the tool than without, plus I know I am not going to stick the end in my finger.

There are times that the shoe can stick and the tool lip will not remove it. Just like when using a small screw driver a thin blade from between the shoe and flywheel will get it off. Just about everyone that has seen me change out a set using the tool has gone and bought one. They are cheap, try it, if you don't like it give it to somebody else.
