The only "60" engines available are the 60L and the 60LX (and a few specialized variations for CL or 3D stuff).

These are "46" size engines.... not big blocks. They install in the same footprint as an OS46. They would actually be an excellent choice for the "old" non-schnurle 60 pattern designs like the Intruder, Phx 5, Eyeball, (maybe a compensator or Mach 1) stuff like that where you may have used a ST53, blackhead, bluehead, Veco/K&B, Merco or other muffled/baffled powerplant years ago. The current SJ-60L engines weight about the same as those older type 50-60 engines. The SJ-60L is a real nice engine - with the longer "torque" tuned muffler it turns the snot out of an 11x5 or 11x6. However it will not perform well if you want to spin an 11x7, 11x7.5 or similar (drops out of tuning range). The SJ-60LX turns around 18,000 on a 10x6 or smaller prop... does not work at all with 11" props.

Dub's big block "60" size engines are the SJ-76, SJ-90L, SJ-100L series of engines (side and RE versions, BSE or cast case - as shown above). The rear exhaust versions with the full pipe are very versitile - lots of power, and if you want torque, the pipe can be set a bit longer and they have no trouble with slightly larger props.

I don't understand the light small block .60 sized are not real sixties's and the big block sixties's are 76's through 100's? I am so confused! [sm=drowning.gif]
