Been following this 25cc engine thread for some time. Mine came from John on E---- for $26.00. Ran it yesterday with one of Ken Lamberts mufflers and pulled 8,195 rpm on a zinger 16 x 6 prop. Turned 7,800 with the stock muffler, same prop. I dismantled this engine and measured and it measures 23.52 cc. or 1.435 cu.in. Not bad performance figures for a new engine of this size. It hand starts easily and idles at an incredible 1,300-1,400 rpm. Never had a two-cycle engine that would idle reliably at that low of an rpm before. Very little vibration at anything above idle. I replaced the carb that came on the engine as it had only low speed adjustment. No other changes except the carb and the muffler. Hope to be getting near 8,200 rpm with a 16 x 8 once the rings have seated.
