TCBenson: Yes the Mb290 does start very good and has a good idle. Boy you got a good price on yours. I put mine back in the blower and use it a lot. I blow the snow off my truck and wifes car and the wooden deck. The engine is fully broken in now and screams! The bearings from new had more end play than normal...but they are easy to replace.
