i know, i run a 13t cb and a 52t spur with the .18 OS CV-R and that didnt even fit, i had to break out my power dremel to make the slots longer and i havent had any problems with the mesh so far.. you should try the 13t cb 52t spur set up it has loads of torque, i love it, i got my friend to help me and he clocked it at 29mph in an estimated 2 seconds, and then he asked me if he could have a try at driving it and i was like maybe its time for you to go home, lol

You can not fit a 17t cb with a 52t spur using the stock slots in the chassis. The mesh will be to tight. I'm running a 16t cb and 52 spur with the .18 OS CV-R. It has a bit to much top end for racing but is fun for bashing. If I were to regear I would run a 15t cb and 52 spur.

if you want top end then you should get something like a 17t cb and if you were willing to change the spur gear you could go ro the 47t spur to get even more top end

no it uses a long spring that you wrap around the clutch shoes, the hpi racing clutch comes with the shoes and the spring

Does the HPI racing clutch require the same springs that the basic clutch shoes take?
Thanks.
As for racing clutch bells. I have the 13 tooth HPI racing clutch bell. In the next few days I'll be buying a new engine for my MT2 - The LRP z18s. To match the great increase in power I'm looking to get a faster top-end speed. What tooth clutch bell do you guys recommend? (I have the basic 52 tooth spur gear at the moment and am looking to keep that on the car).
