I've had nothing but trouble with idlebar plugs too, mainly getting a good idle....
I've throw them all away. Many times at the field I come across them when helping someone
with a fussy engine that won't run right....yank the offending idle bar plug....install a non idle
bar plug....a little tuning....problem solved.
