Default RE: Brillelli/Extreme Flight COMBO!!!

My father and I had a chance to weigh our birds in this weekend. We had 2 Rapala fish scales and 2.5, 5 and 10 pound standards to calibrate the scales. Scales read to 1oz resolution and proved to be within 1oz at 2.5, 5 and 7.5 pounds.

All up weight of both airframes bare minus motor mounts, fuel tank and wheel pants is only 6.5 pounds. OUTSTANDING!!!! To compare it to 2 other planes of this size range that I have done --F90 was 5.7 pounds and Giles UL was 6.3 pounds (no motor mounts, no fuel tank or wheel pants). The F90 is not scale and the Giles UL accomplishes its lightweight with a compromised landing gear design (and does not look scale to me).

It looks like we are on track to have our B46/Yak combos come in very close to 12 pounds with 10oz gas tanks giving us a true take off weight about 12.6 pounds!!!

This weight is based on no spinner or wheel pants and 6oz battery package.

This should be an outstanding Gas package!!!

It is hard to believe that the hobby has come to this point--where you can get a great looking fully capable scale plane that is adequately powered on economical gas & is this affordable and easy to transport!!!

It is a great time to be in this hobby!!!!!
