On my 36% Katana, when I have the elevators zeroed (lined up) with each other (as viewed from behind the plane), one elevator half's counter balance does not line up with the stabilizer. The counter balance is below the stab by between 3/16" and 1/4".

Was yours off like this?

I am not sure what to do. My experience with flying a plane that has something crooked is that you can trim it for one speed and it will fly great, but when speed changes, the trim will be off.

I called the shop today and your Dad said I should try to fly it and he also suggested that I call you to see what ideas you may have. I am reluctant to fly a plane when something is this far off.
