Default RE: WACO YMF

Okay troops...Here we go with the first pieces of the next one stuck together. I am including pictures of the modified H-Stab. I am using 7/32 brass tubing to make the mount tubes. The first photo shows the pivot tube in front of the aft tie tube. This pivot tube will have a flat brass plate soldered to it, and will be bolted into position with 2 bolts, and locknuts. It will not be readily accessible after the model is covered. The forward tube will have a nut plate soldered to it, and a lock nut soldered to the plate. The adjusting screw will be fastened to F-13B and I will be able to adjust the incidence as needed for trimming the model. I even thought about using a bellcrank and some clevis' and using a servo to make the incidence adjustable in the air. I may still do this, but it is probably overkill. Photo #2 shows the pivot tube on the mount tube. The pivot tube is 1/4". The mount tube is 7/32" the fit is very stable. I would call it a slip-fit.
