The Irvine JetStream carbs are the most linear, cleanest midrange and smoothest transitioning carbs, bar none. I have them from the little bushing .20 to the above mantioned 1.50, all the carbs are an exercise in perfection. To put anything less on an Irvine makes the Irvine less.
unfortuantly its not that clear cut, port timing, bore/stroke, matierals, weight of the individual components etc,etc make a huge difference on how an engine will throttle.
This is a totally new engine, whos to say its not better???
The bottom line is you have never run one of these engine's and you are guessing that its not as good as the older version.
At the end of the day its down to personal prefrence, some people will love it and some will hate it, you cant please everyone, but i think you are taking a very narrow minded view by judging it with out actually running one.
And lets be honest most aero moddellers dont know what there throttle stick is for anyway!!!! they just seem to stick it at full throttle untill they want to land, in that case it does not matter what carb is on it.
