Default 1/12 ME-109E & P-51 Mustang

My House Of Balsa ME-109E limited release came in today. The first thing I noticed was that the plans were two sided, I though it was a lot for this little plane. Turns out that the plans are for two different planes, the 109 and P-51. This could be the start of a 1/12 warbird collection. hmm. Next I looked at the instructions, same as before. There isn't a whole lot there. That is my only complant about HOB, the instructions, and these aren't even in color. It should be a little bit of a challenge and fun. Its my third kit so we'll see.

The cockpit canopy is a formed plastic piece which also makes up the top of the fuse from the pit back.

The wing is a bolt-on, semi-symmetrical, and has considerable dihedral for its size, requires carving and sanding of wing tips(I like this better than using a rib for the tip) it has fixed gear that looks like it mounts to the wing and not the fuse.

The plans are also for a two channel(ailerons and elevator only w/ .059), I'm planning on making it four channel and putting a .10 or .15 in it and adding rudder. What do you think about tail mounting a micro servo for the elevator or rudder or both to help counter the weight of a larger engine? Would you add rudder to a plane this size?

I'm going to try and take my time with this one and make her purdy. Hang around I'm sure I'll have planty of questions.
