Default RE: 1/12 ME-109E & P-51 Mustang

The more I get into this wing the less I like the idea about mounting the gear to the bottom of the wing. Looks like belly lander she will become. Now I need to decide if I still need to put in the gear mounts for for just looks...If I decide to go without gear all together I can probablt save some weight in the wing since this will eliminate the blocks and epoxy used to mount them. What do you think?

Also the LE is made up of two parts a 1/16x3/6 strip which connects all the ribs then a 1/4x3/8 strip which is glued to the previous to form the LE. The bottom sheeting over laps the LE, I am going to have to sand this down/cut it back befor I can sheet the top.

I couldn't find the wing angle braces b/c the kit is poorly cut, so I traced them from the plan and cut them out of a scrape piece of sheeting.

gear or no gear?
