RE: FS one by Horizon Hobbies
Just bought mine this week. Installed and patched up to V1.04. Flawless install and the software works great with my JR 9303. I'm coming from G2 so this was a big step up. I used G2 just to practice stick moves and didn't feel it was very realistic. FSOne has changed my mind and now I'm thinking about buying a gaming rig with a big flat panel just so I can get the full benefit. Anyway, a couple questions for Brian. Not that I'm complaining, but why is the transmitter setup for the 9303 so much different (and easier) than other transmitters? With other transmitters, even other JR transmitters, you have to use the "XX + emu" and then execute a lot of steps to get it set up. With the 9303, you just calibrate it as if it was the TacCon box and voila, you're done for all planes. Easy! Second question: Is the 9303 transmitting when plugged into the sim or is it using the DSC function and the RF module is inactive? Last question (for now): I have an old ('98 vintage) Futaba FP-T6VA transmitter that I'd like to use. When plugged into the USB interface using the provided cable, I get nothing when looking at the interface in the MS Game Controller gadget. This is with the transmitter switched on. Is this transmitter just too old to be compatible or am I missing something? Thanks for a GREAT sim and I look forward to additional planes. I'm going to log off now and go fly the Tribute indoors. What a hoot!
