Hmmm, 3D or Pano, I don't know. I was just curious about the capabilities. I created a 3D site in another software package. That way, when someone flew too near the tree line, they crashed - one reason for my making up that field - it was realistic for the fliers.
Will that also happen in Pano mode? I am assuming it won't since there won't be a way to define the trees and other obstacles from the rest of the backdrop.
Does this feature already exist in FSOne? I just put a new 2.13 GHz DuoCore machine on order today and was anticipating picking FSOne at the WRAM show next week. That's the reason for my unfamiliarity with the software.
Thanks for any info that you can offer.
Bob
FS One Panos can have collisions, but as you suggest, it is more difficult to define the collision impact of tress and such than a 3D site.
We haven't yet published how to create flying sites (either Pano or 3D). The question is which type is of greater interest to most users. A basic pano (without collisions) is fairly straightforward. Getting it to look professional takes good photography, of course.
If there is a lot of interest in creating custom Panos, we can move that up the priority list.
