Hey, I have to do this at the track too. Basically just follow what the manual says. It kinda sucks though because you have to watch the blinking lights. The sound doesn't work while the MM ESC is in brushless mode with a brushed motor connected. So what will happen is after it is in the mode with 9 blinks and you select OK, it will blink only once, this is where you select the brushed mode. After you do this, the ESC will make the motor make sound, and you can do all your settings from there.

I gotta admit, the MM ESC is tricky to program without a computer, but can be done.
