Depends, but I would say yes. Less weight; one motor, one esc, and one battery pack when running one BL motor. Two motors gives you more torque, but with a quality BL motor/ESC/Battery combo you'll have all the torque and top speed you can handle. You could run two brushed motors off one pack, but you won't get very good run times.
