Default RE: Question about World Models Miss America G.S.

I have this plane. I bought one of the early group without flaps, it doesn't need them unless you use an engine that won't idle down. It flies very well- it is light on the wing. If you use say an 8 or 10 pitch prop and have a high idle speed it might float right on by when you try to land it. It has no tendency to snap at low speeds. The cg they gave is a good balance between easy to fly and maneuver and easy to land. I epoxied the firewall but it was pretty strong to start with. I threw away their retracts and replaced them with Spring Air 400 series retracts. I beefed up the retract mounts because i fly off fairly rough grass runways. Either engine wlould fly this plane well.

This is a well built, sturdy plane. I did reinforce the wing bolt mounts - I changed them to 1/4-20 blind mounting nuts and added an extra plywood reinforcement. I epoxied the tail in place.

I would buy it again.
