RE: Hog Bipe changes.....
I have been building mine for the last month or so.
So far I have only changed the following items:
1. Mounting location for the landing gear, but I built the support in such a way as I can add blind nuts in the stock location so I can bolt the gear on either location.
2. Added a hatch above the fuel tank. I don't like the idea of a fuel tank not being accesible to fix problems without tearing half the plane apart.
The only other mod I am doing is to add two pieces of 1/4 tri stock to the wings where the ailerons mount to form a scale "pocket" that will be sanded to blend the ailerons into the wing. I am also using hinge points in lieu of the easy or CA hinges.
So is this building it stock or is it modified?
BTW, I am powering it with a Saito 100. I am using a Dave Brown mount and making a throttle linkage that runs down to a bell-crank mounted on the side of the engine mount then from the bell crank to the servo. This allows me to mount the throttle cable under the fuel tank support.
