Default RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!

crash,

your CP and CPPro feel the same?

I've found the stock CP and the stock CP Pro to be very different birds.

From my experience the CP is easier to control, with slower head speed (370 main with 8 tooth pinion and 9.6v 650 mAh NiMh battery, and CCPM control w/ flat woodies), a noob pilot is less likely to over correct when flying. Compared to the CP Pro which seems to have much faster response (370 main and 9 tooth pinion with 11.1v 800 mAh 3 cell LiPo, and Bell Hiller mixing w/symmetrical woodies).

I also noticed on the CP the tail seems more locked in compared to the CP Pro. I think the stock n30 tail motor handles better with the lower head speed of the CP, when bumped up to the CP Pro gear the little n30 seems to have trouble keeping up.

Yes, I'm still in search of the perfect Blade CP....

I currently have 5 Blade CP/Pro's.... (thanks to ebay)

I'm keeping one CP stock and one CP Pro stock. The others I'm using to test the various mod's and upgrades.

I'll keep you all posted on my thoughts and experiences!

I'm in the process of going brushless on one of my birds (thanks for the email and all the great info, dave!)

here's a list of parts w/#'s for the upgrade (from a CP Pro)

EFLA228 - JST Female/2 JST Male Parallel Y-Harness
EFLA311B - 20 Amp Brushlesss ESC
EFLM1000 - Park 370 Brushless Inrunner Motor, 4100Kv
EFLM1912 - Heat Sink (20x20mm)
EFLM1949 - Pinion Gear, 8T 0.5 Module 2mm ID

All this is found in the Blade CP Pro Manual pgs 48 - 56 along with step by step instructions. If you don't have a copy of the manual you can download here..
