You're getting lots of good feedback on this one! Those of us who have been around a while have this instinct to bring the newbies along with minimal 'conflicts'. Conflicts - that's what you have when there's a wall or chair in your airspace. That stuff is really hard on blades.
TIP- DON'T start out trying to fly through doorways and down hall ways. These helis stick to walls, doors, chairs and such and they have no fear of ceiling fans. Ceiling fans - that's another conflict.
So right now, will the heli hover solid with no input or do you have to fly it to sit still? You should be able to power-up and get to a stable hover with almost no input at all. And the heli should hang in the air until the breeze that the heli creates starts to move it around. You will learn faster when the heli it trimmed.
If you need advice, you're in the right place.
If you are breaking blades, you're learning! I've gone through bags of them. The body on my heli is as much packing tape as it is yellow plastic. I read somewhere here today that you should fly on the good days, when you feel like you are in control. On days when you are always behind and can't seem to keep up, put the heli on the shelf. You'll just break it and perhaps break your spirit. Most of my severe damage happened on bad days when I was determined to win no matter what. I seldom won on those days.
My two cents worth.
Best of luck and hang in there. You are in good company!
