Silver is basically agreeing with what you are saying. Its just as you indicated, no amount of tightening will keep the link from moving sooner or later on the glass end. Im sure he came across strong because it sounds like one of those "I know about that because I lost a plane over it" deals. If anyone needs bolts, you can do what I did. I get them from MCmaster-Carr.com. I buy longest ones they have that have thread all the way to the head. That way you can just cut them off to the length you need instead of trying to buy every length out there. You can get 25 or 50 for what it cost for 10 from somewhere else. If anyone needs some, I'd be glad to send them a couple. Is it okay to mention a website here? Sorry if thats a no no. Just wanted to help.
