Default RE: axe cp thread

Hey Guys,

I just got my Axe about 3 weeks ago, and today was the first time I've had time and decent weather together. I'd been scooting around the garage before with it, try to compare it to the blade CP I've been 'flying' for the last 2 yrs.
Anyways, got comfy with it today, and let it get ahead of me. Let me say this thing can take abuse that would've put my Blade in the trash. It nosed in from about 20', and other than a broken blade and a scratch, she's fine and back in the air.
Speaking of broken blades and spare parts, I didn't have spare axe blades, but I had a pr. of Blade CP flat bottoms, they worked great, just a little snug in the grips. Very stable and excellent performance. I've also cannibalized the LiPo (1320) from my blade, changed the connector on the axe to match it so I can swap the battery back and forth. I have a feeling my Blade will slowly become a parts source or a hanger queen.
I've gotta say, it's a great chopper for the money, and seems to be very durable, especially in the landing gear and frame, areas that were weak on the blade. The only other thing I did was ditch the foam balls (they tend to snag and slow it down) and used the 'ping-pong' balls from the Blade.
happy flying guys.
