Please remember that 99% of the time I see people crash it is from the things the simulator cannot teach you. I taught myself to fly on a simulator and had a deadstick on the first day well several deadsticks.
I practice this(engine kill) all the time on my G2 at all different types of moments, inverted, while going vertical, in a loop, and so on.
