Tex, its mounted directly beneath the main shaft, only place it would fit. No battery at all where the stock pack goes, thats the reason for the 1.3 ounces in the tip of the canopy. I may try melting down some fishing weights to a simialar shape to the canopy nose and tape or glue them inside once I know if its going to work or not.
