Tex, its mounted directly beneath the main shaft, only place it would fit. No battery at all where the stock pack goes, thats the reason for the 1.3 ounces in the tip of the canopy. I may try melting down some fishing weights to a simialar shape to the canopy nose and tape or glue them inside once I know if its going to work or not.

put the battery in the stock position. Don't add any weight. It won;t fit in the stock position at all?
If you have to use weights, use BBs.
