Default RE: Team OMP Presents the Boxxer ARF!

Bolt the four aluminum cabane strut pieces loosely on one end to the top of the fuselage at the predrilled holes with 4-40 x 3/4 bolts, washers, and locking nuts.

The rear strut tabs will need approximately 3/8” cut off the square end to fit to the right depth in the wing. Take two of the scraps from trimming the rear tabs and sand them to 3/16” thick for use in the next step.

Place the last 4 tabs in the corresponding sockets and loosely bolt the other ends of the 4 aluminum cabane struts to the 4 tabs with 4-40 x 1 bolts, washers, and locking nuts. Glue the tab pieces you cut away in the last step between the center mount tabs (with thin CA) to keep the tabs from being crushed together when tightening the mounting bolts. Allow the epoxy to fully cure (often longer than the labeled 30 minutes), while the plane remains upside down.

Only after the epoxy has fully cured (often more than the labeled 30 minutes), remove all of the all blue tape, and turn the Boxxer over, on its back.
