Default RE: breaking in race ported engine?

ORIGINAL: kingpin123

ok guys thanks , i dont understand either why you would want to change the piston ring after breakin? but then i dont know much about those engines.
but i think badz is right though.
but i just wanted to know if it makes a difference in braking in a race ported and a stock motor? does it matter how you break it in? do you break them in the same?
I set my lsn at 1 1/2 turns out and hsn at 2 turns out to make it a little extra rich cause of the tuned pipe and ported engine....I ran 1 tank that way then tuned to factory settings and ran another tank and tuned for final from there and I have 0 engine issue's....these things run 35+ minutes on a tank when beating the daylights outta them...they also aren't nitro with tapered pistons so I can't see heat cycling doing anything worthwhile to them
