My big concern is the radio. Now I know it's not a hobby grade setup, but do you think the radio is decent?
Any idea on range?

Reason I ask is when these mini rc vehicles came out, I bought one of those zip zaps, which worked great at first and after about 4 runs it has a range of 3ft. Think this boat could actually have the capability to go out in the middle of a pond, or even for a rescue? If so, I think I will get one, boat for the girlfriend and a rescue boat, kill two birds with one stone. I could really care less about upgrading for performance, I just want something good out of the box.
