[...] I would say that having used Reflex,AFPD and G3.5 that G3.5 is the best by a MILE.AFPD is far too floaty,Reflex is just useless but Realflight G3.5 is excellent and i have been using it for ages now .I even model planes for it and there are literally hundreds of downloads for it which are being updated all the time. The Aircraft editor is fantastic as you can change anything on the plane and with online multiplayer to boot you just cant go wrong. So if you are going to spend your hard earned cash i would recommend getting Realflight G3.5 without question.
How do you comment the fact that AFPD won the Golden Wings Award?
I was asking myself that same question.
How on earth did AFDP win an award on realism over G3, I honestly don’t understand it. I will tell you this though, in AFDP I can perfectly hover helicopters, and I can perfectly land every jet in the sim, even the 747. The sim is straight up unrealistic. I have been playing G3 for over a year and im still lucky to get a jet on the ground in one peace. (which would still be unrealistic compared to real life)
AFDP is just way to easy, any way I look at it. 3D maneuvers like hovering, give me a break I can stay in a hover all day in AFDP. The only hay I can do that in G3 is if I use the Yak with a gyro. And I can’t even come close to sustaining a decent hover in real life.
The only thing that comes to mind (and im not making any assertions or pointing fingers) but from what I understand AFDP was coded overseas wile all the others seem to be USA based. I don’t know anything about the Golden wing awards or who judges them but perhaps there could be some form of bias present. Because in my opinion I would honestly put AFDP only above clear view. I would own G3.5, FS-One, and Phoenix, before I would buy AFDP
