You can't use the old style rims on the AD2, all the threaded stud replaces is the quick change lever nothing else.
Like gubbs3 said, you can use AD2 wheel on the MF2 with the adapter. If you run the AD2 wheels on the front you will need to change to AD2 axles to correct the offset.

you can see it in this pic... the lever changes the hex stays and the the axle is also to large
