Default RE: Regular guy's Phenom thread

I agree. Immaculate finish! I don't know that I found a single imperfection on this bird... I am hurrying mine to get it ready for the Revvers next weekend and I can tell you, this airplane comes ready to rock and roll!

Kudos to Russ and the crew at Oakdale on a Phenominal airframe- Pun intended!

I am planning to be the first guy (that I know of anyway) to get one of these airborn...I am also intentionally doing a standard build (I expect pretty impressive performance though). In other words I am using an OS-50SX with a Tower muffler, probably a 9.5x7 APC, standard servos (70oz. on 6V though) a regular hayes fuel tank, and shaker can paint job.

I want to see the performance with a typical set-up since I cannot hang with Crazy or ChuckL with their Jett-60LX's and what not. I will end up with a FIRE Jett-60 and digitals I am sure but for now I wanna roll like this-

I have also flown 3 Whiplashes and plan on flying my Whip (K&B-48/ Ultrathrust) and the Phenom back to back at the Revvers thing so I can compare. I really love the Whiplash but the Phenom with its cowl set-up, carbon fiber control horns, and servo set-up is a few steps ahead of the Whip.

Cheers!
