Default RE: How fast will this Diamond Dust go??

hey , it looks awesome! what engine did you put on it?

i think the prop choice is okay. Jeff recomends starting with a 10x5. It will still be pretty fast, but will "bite" the sky better.
i would have a friend hand launch it for the first few flights untill you get used to the way it torques when it gets airbourne.
after that , lauching it yourself is not too bad...(dont' have him throw it, just release it when you give it like 3/4 throttle)

for sure,, YOU NEED TONS OF EXPO i think i have 60% on elevator, and even more on the ailerons.
and there is no need for very much throw.. it will spin so fast that it's a blur with the recommended throws...

try to remember that it flys very well with the throttle down! i tend to forget and only fly it wide open,, but that can be a bit much when getting used to it,
so don't hesitate to slow it down... it actually has great slow speed habbits..

good luck this weekend,, if you ever get bored, come up to gainesville on a sunday,, we usually have 3 or 4 dusts going at the same time at our field,,
and that is a total rush to get a few in the air together! Enjoy!
