Oh man, you guys gonna hate me again!!

I went out to my favorite vacant building again - it is surrounded by tall trees and buildings, which tend to mellow out the WIND... da dah DUMmmm...

But its a sunny, hazy day, and only a gentle breeze with occasional moments of dead calm. Let there be heli!

I immediately went into my figure 8's, and after a couple nice passes, I set in for a perfect landing. Ahhh, I dared thunk I was gettin the hang 'o this!! Forward Flight!! Cruising around and having FUN!! KEWL!!

I re-set myself and reduced my EXP to 10% on the cyclic. Made sure I had plenty of control throw.

I took off again and went into the figure 8's. Doing great! Nice turns!! The tail, while still chittering and oscillating, was pointing the way I wanted the whole time!! How much better can a heading hold gyro really be? I mean, I had it!!

Then of course, the exciting bits!! [X(]

I was coming in from the right, and too fast, AND right at my car!!! [X(]

I was thinking "Great! Sure looks like CERTAIN DEATH, Mr. Safety Preacher!!!" AAAckkk!!!

Then I got the Eye of the Tiger and Nerves of Steel at the same time - I pulled hard back and right - and make a 30+ MPH highly banked (near vertical!) turn within 10' of my car!! YYYeeeeEEEEEE HHHAAAAAAAaaaaa!!!

Now I am RIPPING!!! I AM GOING TO DIE if I don't level out!!! DONE!!!

Now blazing right toward the center of my Flight Area, so... I ease down the throttle and pull back - and zing up to about 60' altitude! Whoo hooo!! I was thinking a good wind gust might take me over a nearby building!

No problem! I turned the nose toward me, gave a firm down elevator, and reduced throttle - she dove right for the center area - keep her level!! - I then pulled back and she gently flared into a hover right in front of me. Ta da!!!

On the next run, I found her diving hard and fast and steep at the ground!! Again I thought "Great, again looks like CERTAIN DEATH Mr. 'I'll bet you I don't crash before I learn to hover'!!!" AAACCCCKKKK!!!!

Again I thought "No way - TAKE THIS BE-ATCH!!" and gave HARD back elevator and FULL THROTTLE!!! WOW!!! I kept the tail straight at the ground and she flared really hard and made a radical SOUND - the tail came withing a foot of the concrete, and then of course she stopped and started to rocket back the other way!

No problem! Just eased up on the throttle and put the nose down - back to a hover!!! AWESOME!! Cheated death again!!


All this during light breezes and with my tail oscillating and gittering - gadsss I am nuts!!

I think I am a crash waiting to happen - but I love exploring my ability to control this model - so far so good!!

YEEEE HAAAA!!!!
