RE: Brillelli/Extreme Flight COMBO!!!
Finally got a couple of days of above 50 degree weather so was able to get out in the garage to do the final assembly on my EF Yak/B46 Combo. Put it on the scales and was very happy to see 12 Lbs. 2.8 Ozs. This is without spinner and wheel pants, prop was a NX 21-8, Ign. Batt. is 1500 maH NiMH, Receiver Batt. is 2- 1500 NiMH (2 switches) for a total of 10 Oz. of batteries. It balanced at 6.25 inches or right under the wing tube With the Rcvr. Batts. right under the rudder servo. I did bring the engine back a little closer to the firewall than called for in the instruction, 5-7/8 inches instead of 6-1/2.
Spinner and pants will only add another five ounces for a total of less than 12.5 Lbs. This is only about a half pound more than the old GP G202 that I have been flying with a 1.20 2-stroke.
The engine on a stand turns a Xoar 20-8 a good solid 7300 RPM, not sure what it will turn the 21-8 but it should be within 500 RPM of that figure. I can hardly wait to fly it but it will be several weeks before the weather and field conditions permit. Anybody want to see some still pix, just holler [8D][8D]..........RJ
