How much $$ do you continue to dump into a CP before you cut your losses and go buy something more capable anyway (TREX, etc.). I am approaching that cross roads now.
If you are gonna dump the 4in1 and go "ala carte" maybe you would be better putting the upgrade money on the new heli...does the CP have enough potential in it to keep on dressing it up or does it become "teats on a boar hog?"
I got a rex last fall and love it. Main thing is, I can't fly it in the living room like I can the CP. I don't put a lot into the CP anymore like I used to, but when I have to replace something that's when I'll step up now. I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade to separates (especially HH gyro) if my originals fry. So far I guess I got one outstanding CP when I picked this one up. Still flying the original main with DD tail after a year and a half. My biggest problem is Lipos holding up. Gone through a bunch of those. (same problem with the rex)
