OK guys, here's my dilemma. The Brillelli 40GT comes with this nice phenolic venturi for the carb. If I leave the venturi on, I have to cut a big hole in the side of the cowl to clear it.

Do you think I'll see a big performance drop off on the motor if I leave it off? I'd rather not have to cut the cowl if it doesn't make that much difference.
