Hey Folks.. some more interesting tips for the N00bie Axe drivers...
Went to one of my LHS's, and caught the Heli-guy behind the counter, pitchin a sale of another AxeCP to some customer... five minutes into the sale pitch, and he grabs a stock AxeCP out of the glass case, puts it on the floor, and pulls it into a hover. SNAP. Says he's been flying his BladeCP for about two years now. Tells me to bring in my Axe out of the car and he'll take it for a spin for diag purposes.
He trimmed out my radio for me and showed me a few tricks for stability, not to mention that he picked up on a blade tracking issue that I didn't see before.. Notes for others: Turn the throttle trim ALL the way down and keep it down until you master hover... maybe bring it up a little, otherwise KEEP IT DOWN.
I notice that there's a 3D CF tailfin available as an option for the Axe CP. Thx BoysToys for the coupon codes.
After the tuneup, I literally hovered my way through a whole LiPo. [8D] Soooooo sweet!
