RE: Kawasaki Ki-61 Ready for maiden
Added the scale drop tanks. I made them using pink insulation foam. First I cut out a bunch of circles and glued them together to form a tube. A dowel through the pink tube allowed me to put it on my drill press and turn it to shape. I then fiberglassed them and used some lightweight filler to smooth them out. They are fairly light and should be able to survive a drop in the grasss. It was a nice spring day so I got outside and snapped a couple more shots.
