Default RE: Buiding pics Waco YMF-5 Barth Modellbau

Hi Phil,

The MVVS turns a 30x10 with 6200 rpm it is a verry strong engine I dont now how many rpm a DA100 turns with a 28x10 prop.
I think if you go with the DA100 use reso pipe's that give you some extra power.

The weight of the DA100 is a 1/2 Kg lighter than the MVVS116, for the correct SG (Schwerpunkt) you need some extra weigth in the front.
The Waco flies with a Moki 215 without ballancing weight and that engine is 4200 Gr.
The MVVS116 with exhaust is almost the same.

Furthermore keep your Waco so light as possible, there ara a lot things where you can safe some weight.

Than your flying style, if you wanted your Waco unlimited vertical or you wanted more common basic airbatic figures. s.a. Hammerhead, looping etc.
For the last I think the DA100 is enough, but if you want some more....Even the MVVS is on the moderate side in in comparison with the MOki 215.

Hi Bernie,

I am now busy with the aillerons and servo,s, tomorrow i am going to start with covering the wings and all the other stabilo parts.
Than comes the paint job the next weeks.

I hope you get your Waco in time Bernie, i have my fingers crossed.
