Wick246,

Slow down my friend and regroup... Get one of the helis all put back together and take the time to set it up mechanically first off.
Secondly, when flying or hovering, make small stick movements 1/8 to a 1/4 inch is plenty.. I think you may be overcorrecting with the stick inputs. Remember, you fly the heli, it won't fly by itself.

Frustration!

I picked up some more parts last night locally and replaced the main shaft, blades and flybar on cp #2. I spent most of last night and a good chunk of this morning getting it back together. I was going to fly in my back yard but the unfriendly neighbors were outside and I didn't want an audience so I packed up and found an empty church parking lot. I didn't even get it in the air for more than a few seconds and set it down hard. Next try I moved to the grass and only had it up for a short time and had to drop it before I hit a brick wall - bent the new main shaft and flybar I had just put in. The shrink wrap on end of my new blades is cracked and coming off but the wood seems to be ok. So rather than packing it in I grabbed cp #1 and went in the back yard. This time I got it up and flew for a little longer but started to see the dreaded vertical hop and it became hard to get enough lift to keep it airborne. Bad motor is my first guess so I came in and traded the 10 tooth for a used 9 tooth I had in the parts bin. Flew it in the living room before I had to set it down hard again and wrapped the blades up again. [:@][:@][:@] I had to give up for today on real flight - might try the sim for a bit.

Two problems really - mechanically my birds are not trimmed and are a handful. Plus I seem to be dead at the controls today almost not reacting at all.
