Default Nitro Models E-3D Electric Model

Got the Nitro Models E-3D plan in last week. Great kit, went together easy, everything fit, and got it finished Saturday night ready to go out Sundy Morning. All that was left was to balance it which I figured could be done Early Sunday. Weighed in at 20 oz. ready to fly which was right on target.

Sunday Morning got it ready to fly, loaded in the 1800 MAH flight pack, Put it on the balancer set at the recommended CG point (2.2 inches) and had to lay a 8 ounce battery pack on the front to get it even close. It is So tail heavy as to be ridiculous. It actuall gets close to balance at about 3.5 inches. No way can I add 8 oz of lead to the nose.

Send an email to Nitro Models, They responded with a request for the order number, rather than an answer. Who keeps order numbers after they get the plane. Tried to call them, got voice mail so probably wont be getting phoned back. So If anybody has built this plane I sure would like to know what their experience was. The Brio which a friend of mine has, uses a CG of about 3.5 inches he said. and the planes are similar in size and design.

But I sure dont want to take a chance and tear up a perfectly good plane that just may have an error in the instructions. And if it is not an error, I have no clue as to how I'll get the CG to 2.2 inches without tearing up some structure.
