Well, the KJ66 and MW54 engine types are NO where near the same weight for starters, and physically they are not even close to being the same size either.
One important fact, often overlooked - the residual thrust at idle. Many small models that use a larger engine derated need to use airbrakes and other devices to slow down the plane. WIth a small 54 size engine, you dont have that issue since the residual thrust is next to nothing.
As for the two engines you have mentioned (funsonic and artes bee) I have not heard yet ONE report on RCU that a funsonic has actually flown, and only saw one guy trying to sell a Bee but no flight reports. That may be why no one wants to part with the $$ to "test" one out in North America!
