Default help... engine trouble... please

cowboychris....Here are a few things you can try to hopefully remedy the problems your having.

1. Try a new glow plug if you have one.

2. With air filter off the carb and radio turned on...look inside of the carb....you want about 1mm opening showing. If not....adjust the idle adjustment screw on the carb to set this at 1mm.

3. As for the needle adjustment on the high speed needle....try setting it at 2 to 2 1/2 turns out from stop. If your manual indicates otherwise...then follow the manuals settings.

4. When you place the glow igniter onto the glow plug....you keep on until the engine is running under it's own power.....usually a few seconds to possibly a minute if the temperature is cold out. It will not hurt to leave it on....but the longer you do leave it on.....you are draining the battery of the glow igniter. Always use a freshly charged / new glow igniter battery so your not struggling with a dead battery condition....only adding to your frustration.

5. Be sure your fuel is fresh. If it has been stored for a long time...improperly....it can draw moisture and make starting the engine difficult...if not impossible.

Try these things and see if you can get it to run. If not...place more questions and I'm sure others will offer good suggestions to assist you.

Good Luck!
