Default Tartan Twin Problems

I have a Tartan Twin 77 in a Weeks Special. This engine has been converted from glow fuel to gas. I have seen this engine run great in the past. I bought the plane and the first time I tried to run it, there seemedto be radio interference. The engine would go to full throttle and would not respond to throtle movement from the transmitter, but when the engine was stopped the throttle worked fine. I was told the flying wires might be causing the interference, they were loose, I tightened them, and now I have throttle control, but the engine will only accellorate half way and stagnate. I have re-built the carburator a couple of times. Adjusting the high and low adjustments make no difference. If anyone has any suggestions or information, I would greatlyappreciate it. Thank You
