Thanks Michael,
The FAQ indicated that DDS files used less computer resources, so that's why I was heading this direction.

Hi All,
I'm working on a new pano and the FAQ suggests several file formats for the tiles. One of which is dds. My Photoshop CS2 doesn't come with the ability to save a dds, so I found a Photoshop plug in at the Nvidia website. I downloaded it and installed it. So, when I choose "save as" in Photoshop and select the dds file format I'm presented with a dialog box that asks what settings the dds should be saved in. I'm cluesless as to the requirements of FSOne for this file format and the FAQ doesn't provide any direction. Does anyone know? Or does anyone want to share a profile that I can load. Thanks, Scott
For the dds files, the format needs to be: -dxt1c -nomipmap
We'll update the FAQ w/ this info!
It might just be easier to stick w/ tga or jpg format. The sim can read tga, jpg, or dds. It looks for them in this order: tga first, jpg second, dds third. So if the folder w/ the tiles has tga files, those are used no matter what else is there.
For tga files, they need to be saved in uncompressed 24-bit color.
I think the sim can take jpg in any level of compression, but it's best to use low compression for best quality in the sim.
