Patch 1.0.5 does not work on my computer. When I try to launch FSONE, a flash of a terminal window and then nothing. I might add, the same happened on patch 1.0.4 on my computer. It is an almost new HP pc. Patch 1.0.3 is the last one that works for me. Any suggestions? I would hate to think that after spending $210 on this sim that I can't keep it up to date.
skorman -- I recall you mentioning the problem with 1.0.4, and see that now you're encountering it with 1.0.5. We have tested both patches on a range of systems and it has always run fine on each one. In other words, we cannot duplicate the problem you are experiencing, and if we can't duplicate it, it is very difficult to investigate and solve your problem. Nontheless, we want to try to help you get the later versions working on your system.
The first thing to do (if you haven't already done so) is to install the latest video drivers and sound drivers.
You mention a terminal window flashes and then nothing. If you check Windows Task Manager immediately afterwards, do you see an FS One task that is still runing?
