RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!
I have a question about the tail rotor on the CPP. The other day when I was flying it it was flying fine, a wind gust came up while I was flying it outside on the tramp. I managed to set it down before it went off the edge, but the tail hit a spring. It didn't nick it or anything, and the tubing was just slightly loose. I tightened it up, and when I spooled up the tail started buzzing around normal rpms, like the tail skid fin, and consequently the whole heli like it had a bad case of the shakes. When I would throttle up the tail motor to 2/3 to 3/4 stick to the right, the shimmy would go away all the sudden and the heli would rip around. I pushed the tubing on harder and it ended up fixing the problem. The next day the same thing happened, except that no matter how hard I pushed the tubing on (so the gear was still straight) it still kept doing it. I was practicing piro's on a hardwood floor, and one of the times it got away from me so I set it down a bit hard. I checked everything and it was good. I spooled back up, and the problem was gone? Fixing a heli by crashing it =P
Anyways does anyone know what is going on here, or what to do about it?
Thanks,
