Steve -- Ok, your system setup seems fine. Let's do some things to get more info about the crash.
1) Edit your devoptions.txt file, located in the Options folder. In the [DEV_OPTIONS] section, be sure that it includes a line that reads:
UseConsole = 1
This will turn on a console display, that may help show errors you may be having.
2) Open a Command Prompt window (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Command Promt).
3) Within the Command Prompt window, change the directory to your FS One folder. For example, type: "cd C:\Program Files\FS One" be sure to include the quotes, due to the spaces in the path.
4) Once within the FS One directory in the Command Prompt window, type: FS_One.exe and hit Enter. This should cause FS One to start within the window.
5) After running (and encountering the crash), you can then take a look at the console window, to see if any error messages are displayed. Do this and let me know what it says and then we'll see what to do next.
Thank you Brian! When I followed the instructions above, I got this:

I changed my display from 16 bit mode to 32 bit and it worked! I didn't even know it wasn't in 32 bit mode. Thanks again for your help. I am now excited again about FS One.
